A small plane crashed on I-195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, on Monday morning, resulting in two fatalities.
Video footage from the scene indicated the main body of the aircraft was ablaze in the median, while additional wreckage burned off the road shoulder. A damaged vehicle was also visible in the clips.
According to State Police, preliminary reports suggest the plane may have been trying to land at New Bedford Regional Airport. However, it appears that the pilot did not file a flight plan or disclose the number of passengers aboard.
