A crash occurred at the intersection of East 75th Street and Troost Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, the collision involved two vehicles traveling westbound on East 75th Street. Authorities reported that three individuals sustained injuries; one was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Emergency responders from the Kansas City Fire Department arrived on the scene to assist with medical aid. Towing services were dispatched to remove the vehicles, leading to lane closures in both directions on East 75th Street.
The intersection was reopened by 1:30 p.m., after investigators assessed the scene. Police stated that an investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
