Two Dead in UTV Crash near Halawa Valley Park in Molokai
MOLokai, HI — Two people were killed, and four others injured in a UTV crash near Halawa Valley Park on Saturday night.
According to the Maui Police Department, the accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Kualapa Road. Investigators cited speed and alcohol as contributing factors to the crash, involving a single UTV.
Emergency responders transported the injured to a local hospital; their conditions have not been released. The identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed by authorities.
Kualapa Road was partially closed during the investigation, while authorities conducted a thorough examination of the scene. The Maui Police Department is leading the ongoing investigation.
