BURLEY, Idaho (CBS2) — A 59-year-old Heyburn man died late Friday night in a two-vehicle crash on Bedke Boulevard, according to Idaho State Police.
The collision occurred at 10:21 p.m. on August 28, 2026, near 1033 W. Bedke Blvd. Troopers reported that the man was riding a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound when he veered left of center, colliding with a southbound 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 33-year-old Burley man.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, despite wearing a helmet. The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries but did not require transport to a hospital; he was wearing a seat belt.
Authorities temporarily closed the roadway for approximately two hours. The Idaho State Police received assistance from the Cassia County Sheriff's Department, Burley Fire Department, and medics from Cassia Regional Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
