PEARL CITY, HI — A hit-and-run crash left a 41-year-old man seriously injured in a crosswalk on Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Moanalua Road. Authorities reported that the man was struck while crossing the roadway.
Emergency responders from the Honolulu Fire Department and the Honolulu Police Department arrived on the scene to provide medical aid and transport the victim to a nearby hospital. The man's current condition remains unknown.
According to witnesses, the vehicle involved fled the scene following the crash. An investigation is underway, and police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
There were no reported lane closures as a result of the incident.
