JOHNSTON, RI — A motorcycle crash on Hartford Avenue resulted in one fatality Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., a 38-year-old man collided with a truck towing a flatbed trailer while the truck was making a left turn near the Oak Swamp Reservoir. According to Johnston Police, the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
Authorities confirmed the pickup truck driver is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. No additional injuries have been reported.
Traffic on Hartford Avenue experienced delays as emergency crews responded to the scene. Lane closures were implemented to facilitate the investigation and recovery operations.
