Man charged with aggravated assault following crash into ex-partner's vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested for allegedly violating a protective order and crashing into his former partner's vehicle on April 26.

According to an arrest affidavit, Carlos Rodriguez Jr. is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the incident on Marbach Road.

Authorities said Rodriguez pursued a woman he previously dated, attempting to get her attention before she entered a parking lot near Marbach Oaks. Witnesses reported that he exited his vehicle and demanded she leave hers.

Rodriguez then returned to his vehicle and collided with the woman's . The woman reported experiencing pain in her neck, back, stomach, and chest. A female passenger in her vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a head injury and bruising on her hand and knee.

Rodriguez remains in custody and is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
