Massachusetts man expresses gratitude to Good Samaritans for rescuing him from a burning car crash.

**EASTON, Mass. —** A 78-year-old man is recovering after a serious crash on Route 138 involving his truck and a dump truck filled with on February 24, 2026.

Francis Leverone reportedly lost control of his 2013 Ford F-350 before it collided with the parked truck, which led to a subsequent collision with a 2024 Toyota Camry. The impact caused both vehicles to ignite.

Leverone became trapped inside the burning vehicle, suffering a dislocated right hip and a broken wrist. Witnesses, including two brothers passing by and a responding Easton Police Officer, helped pull him to safety after breaking the truck's window.

“I was hurting, trying to get me out of that window,” Leverone said. “They ended up breaking my window.”

He was transported to a local rehabilitation facility in Braintree and is thankful to have survived the incident. Leverone expressed gratitude towards his rescuers, stating, “God bless them.”

The Easton Fire Department also responded to the scene to extinguish the flames and assist with emergency medical aid. No other injuries were reported. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
