Body of driver from May 30 crash recovered from Payette River.

Valley County, ID (CBS2) — Search crews recovered the driver from a truck that plunged into the north fork of the Payette River on Sunday, May 30.

Authorities confirmed the driver was located by a passerby approximately 2 miles downstream from the crash site. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. along State Highway 55.

The Valley County Sheriff's Office reported that the family has been notified and the area has been secured. Idaho State Police stated that their investigation indicates the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude to all who participated in the recovery efforts and extended condolences to the affected family and friends.
