Second Las Vegas police officer involved in crash.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Two Las Vegas police officers were involved in separate crashes within hours of each other, first reported Wednesday and Thursday.

The first incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. Wednesday near Decatur and Lake Mead boulevards. A suspected impaired driver struck a police officer and a paramedic, both of whom were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. According to LVMPD, the driver involved in this crash remains at large.

The second crash happened around 12:56 a.m. Thursday at Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road. An officer, who was conducting a traffic stop, was hit by a separate vehicle. The officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. Authorities said the driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police have not released further details about the investigations into both incidents.
