One person was killed and two others injured Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles and a pickup truck on U.S. 63 in Osage County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the collision occurred around 1:54 p.m. at County Road 512.
A northbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 54-year-old man from Boonville, crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle head-on.
The motorcycle, operated by a 61-year-old man from Hartsburg, overturned, ejecting both him and his 50-year-old female passenger. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger suffered serious injuries and was airlifted by ARCH Air to University Hospital.
Debris from the initial collision impacted a second southbound motorcycle, a 2002 Harley-Davidson, causing it to overturn. The 64-year-old driver from Jefferson City sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital by Osage Ambulance.
Authorities confirmed the pickup truck driver was not injured. The Silverado sustained extensive damage, the first motorcycle was totaled, while the second incurred minor damage.
MSHP indicated this incident marks Troop F's fourth traffic fatality in August and its 40th for 2026. Next of kin have been notified.
