MURRAY, Utah (KUTV) — A motorcyclist died in a collision involving a truck on 5300 South at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Murray Police, the motorcyclist was speeding when they crashed into the truck, which was turning left onto 5900 South. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
The intersection of State Street and 5900 South experienced lane closures for several hours as investigators processed the scene. The investigation into the factors leading to the crash is ongoing.
Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes during the closure.
