Motorcyclist Dies in Collision with Truck in Crockery Township.

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a pickup truck that occurred early Sunday morning.

Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash at approximately 12:24 A.M. near State Road and 136th Avenue. The , operated by a 35-year-old man from Spring Lake, collided with a pickup truck while it was backing out of a private drive onto State Road. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle attempted to maneuver around the truck at high speed before impact.

Despite life-saving efforts performed by first responders, the motorcycle rider was at the scene. The pickup truck was driven by a 39-year-old man from Kalamazoo, who had two passengers; none of the individuals in the truck sustained injuries.

State Road was temporarily closed for the investigation but has since reopened. The incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
