CHARLTON, Mass. —
All eastbound lanes of the Mass Pike have reopened following a crash at mile marker 82.1 on Monday.
According to MassDOT, a fire broke out, resulting in a completely burned-out car being towed from the scene. Crews worked to clean up ashes left on the roadway.
A second vehicle, towed with visible rear and side bumper damage, was also involved in the incident.
Traffic was observed using the right shoulder while cleanup efforts were underway. Authorities have not confirmed any injuries related to the crash.
