CRASH KILLS USPS EMPLOYEE IN WILMINGTON, DELAWARE

WILMINGTON, Del. — A crash on Route 13 near Delaware Avenue resulted in the death of a U.S. Postal Service employee on October 3 at approximately 2:41 p.m.

According to the Delaware State Police, the crash involved two vehicles, including a USPS delivery truck. Emergency medical services arrived on the scene to provide aid, but the victim, a 42-year-old male, was shortly thereafter. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot.

Officials reported that both northbound lanes of Route 13 were closed for several hours as the crash was investigated and debris cleared. The police have launched an investigation and are currently seeking any witnesses or information regarding the suspect's identity.

No additional injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Delaware State Police.
