A 63-year-old man died Sunday morning following a paramotor crash at Myricks Airport in Berkley, Massachusetts.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, the crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. at the airport, located at 168 Padelford Street. Witnesses alerted Berkley Police via 911, reporting a single-seat paramotor incident.
First responders discovered a large divot in the field and found Gary Williams of Cranston, Rhode Island, approximately 15-20 feet away, suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities noted signs of fuel leakage and multiple breaks on the paramotor's propeller. An investigation is currently underway by State Police detectives and the Berkley Police Department. Further details will be released as they become available.
