WATERTOWN, Mass. —
A candlelight vigil was held Saturday night at the Armenian Memorial Church for Arie Orchanian and Anie Manoushagian, victims of a deadly crash on Dec. 23.
The church confirmed that the aunt and nephew were long-time parishioners. Pastor Aram Bedrossian described Orchanian as “a pure man and a good man,” noting he was seen as a future leader of the church.
Dozens gathered to honor the victims. Bedrossian remembered Manoushagian as “kind and caring,” adding, “she would do things that no one but God would see.”
The crash involved five vehicles and occurred on Bigelow Avenue while the victims were attending a funeral for a family member. Authorities have not determined the cause of the accident, which took place on a street with a 20 mph speed limit and speed bumps.
No charges have been filed. NewsCenter 5 has reached out to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office and the Watertown Police Department for updates.
