Dagsboro Teen Dies in Two- Crash on Hollyville Road

A two- collision on Hollyville Road near Long Neck resulted in the death of a Dagsboro teen on May 20.

The crash occurred at 5:16 p.m. when Charles Williamson, 19, driving a Lincoln MKZ westbound, crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an oncoming Cadillac, according to authorities. Despite efforts to avoid the impact, the Cadillac was struck head-on by Williamson's vehicle.

Williamson was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Cadillac's driver, a 52-year-old Dagsboro woman, and her passenger, a 56-year-old Millsboro woman, sustained nonlife-threatening injuries and were also taken to a local hospital.

The roadway was closed for the duration of the investigation and cleanup.
