Vehicle Collision on West Dakota Avenue Under Investigation; Injuries Reported
A vehicle collision occurred at 4:35 p.m. Thursday on West Dakota Avenue, near South Henry Street, according to Pierre Police Capt. Derald Gross.
Initial reports confirm multiple vehicles were involved, and authorities reported injuries at the scene. Emergency responders from the PIERRE FIRE DEPARTMENT and PIERRE POLICE DEPARTMENT provided medical aid to those injured.
The crash resulted in lane closures as crews worked to clear the scene, with at least one vehicle requiring towing. As of now, the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
