Claridon Township, Ohio — A three-vehicle crash on State Route 309 around 5:30 p.m. Friday left one person dead and two injured.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to Route 309 in Claridon Township for a crash involving an SUV, a Jeep and a sedan.
Investigators said the sedan was turning left into a driveway when it clipped the rear of an oncoming SUV. A Jeep behind the SUV then struck the sedan, causing the sedan's driver to be thrown from the vehicle.
Authorities said the driver of the sedan, identified as 19-year-old Eva Moran, was taken to Marion General Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The Jeep's driver sustained minor injuries treated at a hospital, authorities said. The SUV's driver was treated at the scene and not transported.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
