A fatal collision occurred in Saco on Thursday, resulting in the death of a driver around 3 p.m. on Portland Road.
According to the Saco Police Department, the driver was traveling south in a gray 2021 Ford Explorer when they crossed the center line near Waterfall Drive. The Ford first struck a black 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe before continuing south on the northbound side of the road for approximately 950 feet, ultimately colliding with a blue 2004 Volvo dump truck.
The deceased driver's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Authorities confirmed the driver died at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by local law enforcement.
