Woman Dies After Crash with Semi-Truck in St. Croix County
A 42-year-old woman died one week after a collision with a semi-truck in St. Croix County, authorities said.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at 11:20 a.m. on July 25, in the 1900 block of County Trunk Highway G in Erin Prairie Township. Investigators found that Ashlie Rosen was driving a pickup truck westbound while a 40-year-old man drove eastbound in a semi-truck pulling a trailer of corn.
Rosen crossed the center line, causing the semi to tip onto its side. She was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where she succumbed to her injuries on August 4. Officials confirmed that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The semi-truck driver was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
