SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 15-year-old girl from Columbia was killed early Saturday in a crash involving an electric scooter and a vehicle on U.S. 31, according to the Spring Hill Police Department.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the incident at 12:53 a.m. on June 27, located near the exit ramp to State Route 396 (Saturn Parkway).

Authorities reported that a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old woman from Lebanon struck the scooter operated by the teenager. The specific circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation.

The girl was at the scene due to her injuries.

The Spring Hill Police Department's Critical Incident Response Team is overseeing the investigation.
