UPDATE (2:15 p.m.): All lanes have reopened on Interstate 65 following a hazmat cleanup due to a diesel spill along the right shoulder.

Southbound Interstate 65 was closed at Exit 6 earlier today as crews responded to a crash near mile marker 2.3, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) in Lawrenceburg.

Authorities reported that traffic was being cleared from mile marker 6, with southbound drivers being detoured at Exit 6. Emergency responders were on the scene managing the situation.

Officials indicated that they will provide further updates regarding the incident and road conditions.
