SCITUATE, RI — A motorcycle crash late Friday night resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man on Tunk Hill Road.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m., according to Scituate Police. The motorcycle collided with a tow truck that was exiting a driveway with its emergency lights on.
Authorities confirmed the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tow truck was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses indicated that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound and was unable to stop in time to avoid the crash. Authorities have suggested that speed may have been a contributing factor.
An investigation is currently underway, and no further details have been provided regarding lane closures or additional responders at the scene.
