Motorcyclist Killed in Scituate Crash Involving Tow Truck
SCITUATE, RI — A 22-year-old man died following a collision with a tow truck on Tunk Hill Road around 10 p.m. Friday.
According to SCITUATE POLICE, the tow truck was exiting a driveway with its emergency lights activated when the westbound motorcyclist reportedly failed to stop in time and struck the vehicle.
The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The tow truck driver was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
Authorities indicated that speed may have contributed to the incident. An investigation is currently underway.
