Police arrest suspect following fatal hit-and-run in Lawrence.

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WRTV) — A man died early Saturday following a two-vehicle crash at Pendleton Pike and East 46th Street, according to the Lawrence Police Department.

Authorities received a 911 call shortly before 2:30 a.m. about the incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered two heavily damaged vehicles—one unoccupied and another containing an entrapped, unresponsive man.

The Lawrence Fire Department and paramedics determined that the man had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash, police reported.

Officers later located an individual walking less than a mile from the scene. According to authorities, the person's injuries, including bleeding from the eye and arm, appeared consistent with involvement in the collision. The individual admitted to being part of the crash, police stated.
