One Dead in Golden Valley Pedestrian Crash, Woman in Custody
GOLDEN VALLEY, MN—A man in his 40s died following a pedestrian crash late Friday night, with a woman now in custody.
According to authorities, the incident occurred just before midnight at Highway 100 and Duluth Street. Police found the man, who had been struck, and he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released.
Initial reports indicated the crash may have stemmed from a road rage situation. Witnesses stated the man was driving erratically in one vehicle, closely followed by the woman in another. The man eventually pulled over and exited his vehicle, at which point he was hit by the woman's car.
The 40-year-old woman has been arrested on probable cause for vehicular homicide.
