OREGON, Ill. — A woman has been sentenced to five years in prison following a fatal motorcycle crash on June 19, 2022.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff's Office, a pickup truck driven by 46-year-old Amy Anthenat of Creston failed to yield to an eastbound motorcycle at the intersection of Route 64 and Mulford Road. The motorcycle's operator, a 60-year-old man from Addison, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities reported that Anthenat was unharmed in the incident. Toxicology results revealed the presence of cocaine in her system at the time of the crash.
In October 2025, Anthenat, now 50, pleaded guilty to aggravated driving while under the influence resulting in great bodily harm. She was sentenced during a hearing on February 11, 2026, with her sentence finalized on Friday.
