Ogden Family Grieves as Crash Tragically Takes Lives of Two Young Brothers.

OGDEN, Utah — A crash in Ogden on Friday night resulted in the deaths of two young brothers, ages 11 and 7.

According to Ogden Police, the incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of 31st Street and Grant Avenue. A stolen vehicle driven by a 14-year-old collided with the Vasquez family's , which was carrying two adults and their six children.

Witnesses reported that officers attempted to stop the stolen vehicle near 28th Street and Quincy Avenue, but the suspect fled at high speed after hitting a police car. The collision resulted in major injuries for the Vasquez family.

The 11-year-old, identified as Izarel, died at the scene. His 7-year-old brother, Jaimito, was pronounced brain dead on Sunday after being removed from life support.

Family representative Jessica Pantoja expressed the family's devastation and asked for community support. “It's just horrible,” she said, urging others to keep the family in their thoughts.

Both suspects in the stolen vehicle, also 14 years old, were injured and . Ogden Police confirmed that charges will be filed once they are medically cleared.

“It was careless,” Pantoja stated regarding the actions of the suspects. “We do want justice.”

Ogden Police described the incident as “extraordinarily devastating” and expressed gratitude for the emergency responders. A memorial has been established at the crash site, and a GoFundMe page has been created to assist the Vasquez family.
