MILLBURY, MA — A multiple-vehicle crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike caused significant traffic delays early Friday morning.
The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 90 eastbound at mile marker 93.8, involving several vehicles and resulting in at least one reported injury, authorities said.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, there were temporary lane closures in effect due to a fuel spill, which were expected to persist through the morning commute.
MassDOT officials advised drivers to seek alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
