SUFFOLK, Va. — A collision occurred Monday afternoon between a CSX Transportation train and a commercial motor vehicle at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Portsmouth Boulevard.
The incident took place in the 1200 block at a private, uncontrolled railroad crossing. Authorities reported no injuries as a result of the crash. The train did not derail and came to a stop following the incident, while the commercial motor vehicle sustained visible damage.
The cause of the crash has not yet been disclosed, and an investigation is ongoing, according to Suffolk police.
