MESA, Ariz. – A Valley Metro bus collided with a house at approximately 6:30 p.m. on November 27 near Broadway Road and Spencer, resulting in injuries to at least nine individuals.

Authorities reported that two occupants of the home, one person in a vehicle on the property, three bus passengers, and three bystanders sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders provided medical assistance at the scene.

Investigators determined that a Dodge pickup truck ran through a stop sign, striking the bus head-on. The impact caused the bus to veer into eastbound traffic, hitting several parked cars before crashing into the residence.

A local resident described the incident as frightening, noting that the area is often busy at night, particularly near a nearby preschool.

Witnesses informed Mesa Police that they saw a man and woman flee from the truck on foot before officers arrived. Their identities remain unknown, and it is unclear whether they were injured in the collision.

The home incurred potential structural damage and has been secured with fencing for safety. A real estate agent mentioned that the home's owner was in negotiations to sell it, but the crash may jeopardize that deal.

No further details have been released.
