LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A motorcyclist died in a crash near the Louisville airport on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Old Park Road and Crittenden Drive at 1:55 p.m., according to the LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE DEPARTMENT (LMPD). Officials reported that the motorcyclist was traveling east on Crittenden Drive when a car entered the intersection, failing to see him.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the car remained on-site and did not sustain any injuries.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is actively investigating the incident.
