82-Year-Old Man Dies in Crash Caused by Pickup Truck Crossing Center Line, KSP Reports.

PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — An 82-year-old man died Monday afternoon following a collision on Old Beech Fork Road in Perry County.

Authorities reported the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when a black F-250 crossed the center line and struck a white Explorer driven by Bobbie Boggs of Big Laurel. KENTUCKY STATE POLICE (KSP) said the truck's driver failed to negotiate a steep curve.

The Perry County Coroner's Office pronounced Boggs dead at the scene. First responders transported the driver of the F-250 and two passengers to Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Boggs was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy, with toxicology results pending. KSP is continuing its investigation and reconstruction of the collision.
