PALM BEACH CO., Fla. — A man is dead following a motorcycle crash on State Road 7 on Friday afternoon.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 2:58 p.m. on Sept. 4 at the intersection of EF Johns Parkway.
A Chevy Equinox, driven by a 61-year-old Boca Raton man, was traveling westbound on EF Johns Parkway when it attempted to turn left onto SR 7.
At the same time, a Yamaha motorcycle, operated by an unidentified male, was traveling northbound in the center lane of SR 7.
Authorities said the Chevy crossed into the motorcycle's path, resulting in a collision.
The motorcycle driver was ejected and came to rest inside the back seat of the Chevy.
Deputies confirmed that the motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Chevy driver was uninjured.
The incident remains under investigation, and no further details have been released.
