Pedestrian Fatality and Injuries Reported in Broadway Crash
NASHVILLE, TN – One pedestrian was killed and three others were hospitalized following a crash on Broadway and Fourth Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. Witnesses reported that a vehicle struck the pedestrians while they were crossing the intersection. The vehicle involved was a sedan traveling west on Broadway.
Emergency responders from the Nashville Fire Department provided medical aid on the scene. One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the three injured pedestrians were also transported for treatment. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Authorities closed several lanes of Broadway for the investigation, leading to significant traffic delays. MNPD's Accident Investigation Unit is looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
