Metro Nashville Police are investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian incident that occurred on Lower Broadway on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026.
Authorities said a driver struck four pedestrians, killing one and injuring three others at approximately 2:41 p.m. The impact closed off the area as emergency personnel responded.
Emergency Medical Services transported the injured victims to local hospitals. Their conditions have not been released.
Police have not disclosed the identity of the deceased pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to authorities.
Lower Broadway was temporarily closed in both directions during the investigation and for cleanup efforts. The incident remains under investigation by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
