Skydiving Plane Crash in Butler, MO, Leaves Two Dead
BUTLER, MO – A tragic plane crash occurred on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., resulting in two fatalities near the Butler Airport.
The aircraft involved was a Cessna 182 operated by Skydive Kansas City. Authorities confirmed that both occupants, the pilot and a skydiver, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services, including the BUTLER FIRE DEPARTMENT and BUTLER POLICE DEPARTMENT, responded to the incident. The FAA has been notified and is conducting an investigation.
