PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (TNND) — Deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office delivered a pizza after the original driver was involved in a crash on Tuesday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the accident and retrieved the pizza delivery bag, ensuring the order reached the customer promptly. Bodycam footage documented the deputies' actions as they delivered the pizza to the customer's home.
“Cold pizza? Not on our watch,” the Sheriff's Office stated on social media. Upon arrival, a deputy confirmed with the customer, “You waiting on a pizza delivery?”
“Yes, sir,” the customer replied. “I definitely appreciate it.” The Sheriff's Office noted that the customer lived nearby and recognized the importance of timely deliveries. No injuries resulted from the crash involving the pizza driver. Emergency responders managed the scene, but further details regarding the incident remain under investigation.
