Man injured in crash after Jeep hits tree in Grand Haven Township.

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 40-year-old man was to the hospital following a crash on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 9:22 a.m. near the intersection of Comstock Street and Mercury Drive. Authorities reported that the man's Jeep failed to stop at the intersection and did not navigate the curve on Comstock Street, which dead-ends at Mercury Drive.

The vehicle collided with a tree, causing it to roll over and eject the driver from the SUV. The man was transported to the hospital by AeroMed. No other individuals were involved in the crash, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
