Fatal Crash in Antrim County Linked to Foggy Conditions

ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — A fatal crash occurred Friday morning, September 26, at the intersection of US-131 and M-32 in Warner Township, according to Michigan State Police.

Authorities reported that a 79-year-old woman from Indian River was making a southbound turn from M-32 onto US-131 when her vehicle was struck by another traveling southbound on US-131, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Mancelona.

The older woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The driver of the second vehicle also received medical treatment at the hospital.

Investigators believe that foggy conditions played a significant role in the crash, and an inquiry is ongoing to gather further details.
