GREEN LAKE, Wis. (WKOW) — A 26-year-old Markesan woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a UTV crash that killed two people in April.
Megan M. Zimmerman was apprehended by the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office. The crash occurred on April 18 on Princeton Road near Honeysuckle Lane.
Victims Nicole L. Deaver, 40, and Timothy L. Kamphuis, 46, both from Fairwater, died as a result of the collision.
Authorities said investigators have recommended charges against Zimmerman, including two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and one count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety. The Green Lake County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case to determine formal charges.
Zimmerman remains in custody pending further legal action.
