The crash occurred Friday at 3:49 p.m. when a vehicle attempted to turn into a driveway, colliding with the scooter, according to authorities. The operator of the scooter lost consciousness and was transported to a local hospital with potential broken bones.

At the scene, officers observed signs of impairment in the vehicle's driver, identified as John Anderson. Authorities stated that Anderson refused to undergo standard field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired, resulting in injury.
