LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A 28-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash while riding a skateboard in northwest Las Vegas on Friday, June 5, at approximately 2:37 p.m.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a witness reported a body found on the roadside north of the intersection of North Oso Blanca Road and West Montecito Pointe Drive. Emergency medical personnel responded and declared the individual deceased at the scene.
Investigators indicated that a Ram pickup was traveling southbound on Oso Blanca Road when it struck the pedestrian, who was propelled onto the east shoulder of the roadway. Authorities confirmed that neither the driver nor the vehicle remained at the scene after the crash.
The Ram pickup was later located, though the driver has yet to be identified. The investigation is ongoing, led by LVMPD's Collision Investigation Section.
