ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. — A 17-year-old girl died in a head-on collision with a concrete truck on KY 206 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Friday, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers responded to the two-vehicle crash, which preliminary investigations indicate occurred when the girl, driving a Chevrolet Equinox westbound, crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane, colliding with the concrete truck.
She was transported to TJ Sampson Community Hospital in Columbia, where she succumbed to her injuries. Her identity is pending release.
The driver of the concrete truck did not sustain injuries in the accident.
