Waukesha, WI. – A 17-year-old girl died following a multi-vehicle collision on Monday in Waukesha.
According to the police, the accident happened at East Sunset Drive and Guthrie Road.
A vehicle was traveling on Sunset Drive at a high rate of speed when it failed to stop at the stop sign and struck two other vehicles.
A 17-year-old girl was transported to Froedtert Hospital where she later died.
Other involved parties were treated at the scene and released.
The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle that failed to stop showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
