High-Speed Crash Leaves One Critical, Multiple Injured in Reno
RENO, NV — A late-night collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of South McCarran and S. Rock Blvd. resulted in multiple injuries and left an 84-year-old occupant in critical condition, according to Reno police.
Authorities responded at approximately 11:50 p.m. on June 20, 2026, to a report of the crash. Investigators believe two drivers, operating an Audi RS5 and a Porsche 911 GTS, were engaged in a street race traveling south on McCarran when they ran a red light, colliding with a Toyota pickup that was lawfully in the intersection.
The crash caused significant damage to all vehicles involved. All six occupants of the Toyota were transported by emergency medical services (EMS). Police confirmed that a juvenile driver of the Porsche, along with the adult driver and passenger of the Audi, also received medical attention. Several occupants were admitted for injuries, with the 84-year-old from the Toyota pickup in critical condition.
S. Rock Blvd. and McCarran are expected to remain closed for several hours as the Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team conducts its investigation.
