PEARL CITY, Hawaii (Island News) — A 19-year-old woman was rescued from an overturned truck in Pearl City early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. at the intersection of Moanalua Road and Hoomalu Street, according to authorities. Over a dozen personnel from the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded promptly to the scene.
HFD utilized hydraulic rescue tools to safely extricate the driver from the wreckage. By 2:31 a.m., Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) had taken over, providing medical treatment. The driver's current condition has not been disclosed.
Details on the cause of the rollover crash have not yet been reported. No further injuries or fatalities were confirmed. Traffic was temporarily impacted at the intersection during the rescue operation. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
