Millsboro Woman Dies Following Wrong-Way Crash on Long Neck Road
MILLSBORO, DE – A 72-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries two days after a head-on collision in Millsboro on Oct. 23, 2026.
Deborah Pettyjohn was driving north in the southbound lane of Long Neck Road when her vehicle collided with a Jeep at approximately 7 p.m., according to Delaware State Police. Emergency responders transported Pettyjohn to an area hospital with serious injuries.
She was pronounced dead on Oct. 25. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized, authorities said.
The incident prompted an investigation, and Long Neck Road saw temporary lane closures during the response.
